Cross Gakuen DVD – Cast Talk

I managed to get a clip of the Cast Talk session which was included in the Cross Gakuen DVD released a few months back.  The person who ripped it doesn’t want the link to be publicly shared, so I’m only able to provide a few screencaps for now. It’d be good for those who want to see how the cast looks like, as well as Horie Yui (voice of Yuuki) wearing the Day Class uniform!

I posted a summary of the talk contents some time back, and you can read it here. :)

These are 848×480 screencaps. The quality isn’t very good, but I guess it can’t be helped since the quality of the original video I have is not the best either. Only some selected caps are shown here; do download the zip file for the complete set! :) The video clips can be found here.

OP (download; 55 caps total)

Comments Off on VK Season 1 Broadcast Special

This is the broadcast special that aired on 28 June 08, just before the final episode of Vampire Knight. The 5-minute special gives a short introduction of the story thus far, and features a short interview with Miyano Mamoru (who voices Zero and Ichiru) and Horie Yui (who voices Yuuki). Mamo comments about having to voice both the twins, while Hocchan talks about the relationship between Kaname and Shizuka. Some highlights of the final episode are brought up, and the special ends off with an annoucement of the second season and other related stuff.

You can download the special here. Screencaps continue below the cut (click to enlarge).

VK genga

I was surfing around when I chanced upon VK genga that were uploaded online. In case you’re wondering, genga refers to the sketches done by by senior animators in the process of making animations. There’s a little information about it here. These are copies, and not the real thing. You can get them off Yahoo Japan auctions, as they turn up from time to time.

VK Fansubs Comparison

Comments Off on VK Fansubs Comparison

Someone over at the VK livejournal community was asking about the different subs for both VK and VK Guilty, and since I replied to her post, I’ll just mention it here as well.

Ryko21 and Snoopy007 of JimakuHikaku have made caps of the subs released by different groups, and posted a comparison on their site.

Comparisons: VK, VK Guilty

I guess most people already have a particular group that they’re following, but maybe this will be helpful to those who want to check out the releases from other groups. For VK, I followed Shoku-dan’s subs, but for Guilty, I’m keeping the Shinsen-subs’ ones as I like their translations. I’ve seen a couple of episodes from Yuurisan, and they look pretty good to me as well. Shoku-dan hasn’t released new episodes in quite a while, but now that their old translator is back, I believe that the releases should continue soon. If I’m not mistaken, the first 2 or 3 episodes were translated by someone else, and not the person who translated for their first season releases. Has anyone watched subs from the other groups? How are those?
